Two recently passed bills protect wildlife corridors and recreation lands in the Crown:
The North Fork Watershed Protection Act protects 430,000 public-land acres from future drilling and mining leasing, completing an effort with Canada to protect the transboundary watershed.
The Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act establishes protections for 400,000 acres, including newly designated wilderness and a conservation management area, adjacent to the spectacular Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex.
